The second season of AlRawabi School for Girls, aka Netflix’s most viral Arabic series, premiered exclusively on the streaming platform on February 15, 2024 – and we’re *still* recovering from the iconic star quality of its all-new cast members: Sarah (played by Tara Abboud), Nadeen (played by Tara Atalla), Tasneem (portrayed by Sarah Yousef), Hiba (portrayed by Kira Yaghnam), Shams (played by Thalia Alansari), and Farah (portrayed by Raneem Haitham).
Season two of the hit show seemingly catapulted the gifted actors into stardom overnight, as demonstrated by the heaps of love, excitement, and admiration expressed by fans of the show across the globe. Indeed, the actors used to be ordinary girls just like the rest of us – documenting snippets of their daily lives on social media. Today, the stars are gracing the most glamorous red (and pink) carpet events and all the biggest magazine covers. They’re *basically* living our dream.
In true Cosmo ME fashion, we’ve stalked the AlRawabi School for Girls S2 cast members to see how life was like *before* the release of their highly successful show – delving into topics like fashion, hobbies, and their personalities at large.

Everything we know about the AlRawabi School for Girls S2 cast
Tara Abboud
One thing you might not have known about the 23-year-old AlRawabi star is that she was already a successful actor before the show’s release having starred in graduation film projects like Behind the Door, Log In and Princess of the Mountains – in addition to highly successful Arabic and Western projects such as Obour, Culprits, and Rebel.
The gifted Jordanian actor also plays the piano and is a stunning ballerina. In other words, Tara is the *definition* of elegance, class, and grace.
Thalia El Ansari
The first thing that stands out about the gorgeous, self-assured actor who plays the role of Shams – apart from her luscious curly locks – is that she is a music lover. Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, and Lana Del Rey are a few of the artists you can find on the rock and roll music enthusiast’s playlist.
Thalia is also well-travelled, having visited some of the world’s most gorgeous destinations including Paris, London, Switzerland, and Greece. She’s also *super* artistic just like her character Shams, as she paints, draws, and loves music and beauty at large. We absolutely love her (!!)
Kira Yaghnam
The beautiful young actor, who plays the edgy role of Hiba, also loves music – from Fiona Apple’s rendition of Across The Universe, originally sung by The Beatles, and Françoise Hardy’s Le Temps de L’amour among other classic tunes. The gorgeous gal also plays the ukelele, and of course – as shared in the cast’s exclusive interview with Cosmo ME, she (along with the entire cast) sings.
Kira is also a film aficionado: the Quentin Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction can be spotted on her IG profile. But what stands out the *most* about Kira is her grungy sense of style. Much like her character Hiba, Kira regularly wears all-black outfits and loves a heavy black eyeliner look. Can you say ~queen of grunge~?
Sarah Yousef
Tasneem, played by Sarah Yousef, is the cast’s gorgeous mean girl on the show – although, she *did* share with Cosmo ME that she’s not at all like her character in real life. The 25-year-old actor also loves horses and music, sharing, “I’m also an equestrian, a horseback rider. I sing and I also do plenty of dance. So I’m hoping to get the opportunity to do *especially* horseback riding in a period film or something – that would be really cool.”
It’s evident from Sarah’s IG posts that she’s also a seasoned stage actor, having played the role of Frida Kahlo in live on-stage plays. We cannot wait to see more of this absolute queen’s work (!!)
Tara Atalla
The 24-year-old actor, who stars as Nadeen on the show, loves to travel; having visited gorgeous destinations like London, Madrid, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
AlRawabi School for Girls is not her first acting project, as she previously portrayed the role of Violet – a piano player struggling with anxiety and insomnia to the point of dissociation from reality – in the award-winning film Counting Fingers which released in 2023.
An adventurous soul, Tara has posted about her skydiving adventures in Dubai on her IG profile. Still, she has a calm side and is a passionate art lover – filling her Instagram with photos of some of the most prestigious art museums in the world, such as the The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Raneem Haitham
There is little information online about Raneem, who plays the role of Farah on the show – which makes *total* sense as she shared with Cosmo ME that she is naturally more on the introverted side. “People wouldn’t guess that I’m very quiet. I’m not a very talkative person, and I like to listen more than I speak. I like talking to those closest to me, but with people that I’ve met for the first time, I like to listen and observe,” shares Raneem.
We can still see from her IG profile that she loves nature and has a gorgeous sense of style. Obvi, it goes without saying that she’s a fantastic singer (as shared exclusively with Cosmo ME) – so we hope to hear a cover showcasing the actor’s fantastic vocal prowess soon (!!)
