A couple of days ago, members from the iconic British boy band One Direction celebrated their 10 year anniversary. Yes, it has already been 10 *whole* years since the five boys were brought together by Simon Cowell, and became a chart-topping band with a huge fanbase. I mean, who could ever forget when ‘What Makes You Beautiful‘ came out?Â
But Zayn has not commented whatsoever on 1D’s 10 year anniversary. A source told The Sun that “Zayn is of course grateful for One Direction for giving him the platform it did, but he’s a solo artist now.”Â
The rest of the members celebrated this week by launching a website that shows their journey right from the very beginning, you’re also able to get your very own personalised mixtape. (Click here to check it out).Â
Harry Styles tweeted “I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years. I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up.”Â

Louis Tomlinson also spoke out on Twitter about the milestone anniversary.
Feeling pretty emotional today. 10 years!! Spent the morning watching old interviews and performances. Just wanted to send a massive thank you to ALL of my band mates. What we did together was incredible

Niall Horan even tagged Zayn in his tweet despite the member’s silence on their anniversary.
It’s such a major part of our lives and always will be. Cheers to US today boys and thank you to all you beautiful people who have supported us over the last 10 years. @LiamPayne @Harry_Styles @zaynmalik @Louis_Tomlinson #10YearsOfOneDirection

Liam Payne’s heartfelt message included him “reconnecting with some amazing people,” could this mean…their bad blood with Zayn is gone? Please let it be true!Â
It’s been so great to reconnect with so many amazing people today.
I just wanna take a second to thank all the team behind 1D and crew who helped us everyday we couldn’t have done it without you.
All those tours albums and good times took some serious planning and hard work…— Liam (@LiamPayne) July 23, 2020
Zayn has not commented so far on his former band’s anniversary, but we’re hoping that he may be on good terms with the boys privately.Â
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik were young heart-throbs with musical abilities to match. It was defiinitely a shock when Zayn left the band in 2015 to create music of his own. Since then, One Direction has disbanded, and the members have all made their own music seperately. (Harry Styles deffo succeeded in finding his own style). While Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam remained close and friendly as ex-bandmates, Zayn was left out and is now the most distant,Â
In an interview in British Vogue from 2018, Zayn spoke a little bit about his relationship with the boys and said there were “snide remarks” made, “I ain’t spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you” he said. The British-Pakistani star essentially left the band for his mental health, and to stay out of the spotlight.Â
