Another day, another viral social media meme.
In case you haven’t been on Twitter today, then you probably have no idea that a red flag emoji (tbh, we didn’t even know this emoji existed until today – anyone else?) is taking over peoples timelines.
The “red flag” meme is all about stating any turn-offs or questionable eyebrow-raising moments when dating or meeting someone new, followed by a large number of red flag emojis.
What might have started out as an earnest and wholehearted attempt to help other people avoid toxic relationships and situations, has now turned into something much more light-hearted.
Twitter users are sharing *all* their emotional baggage with more superficial, just-for-laughs dealbreakers that made them raise a red flag. We can tell you now that the subtle shade-throwing is not so subtle, but someone had to say it 👀
Scroll down to read some of the most hilarious red flag tweets. Oh and just a little warning: this trend is not for the easily triggered as you will *definitely* feel called out at least once.

In the spirit of *positive vibes only*, some social media users have even gotten creative to share “green flag” moments or good qualities to look out for despite no green flag emoji. We love to see it.
